Learn how to remove the rear wiper blade in your 2008 BMW 535xi. Replace the rear wiper blade on your 535xi at least once a year even if you don't use your wiper much - the sun wears out the wiper wiper blade rubber more than using it to wipe water. Another trick to enhance the longevity of your 535xi's wiper blade is to scrape off the ice and snow from the glass or use the defroster before using your wiper. A layer of ice has sharp edges that can reduce the effectiveness of the micro edge of the rubber wiper blade.
