Source note on shared footage
We have a massive and growing video library, but we don't have everything...yet.
Car companies often use the same engines in different cars. They also slightly alter the styling and sell the same car by two different names (amongst other tricks to help offset development costs).
Our system selects the most applicable video for your car based, in part, on these characteristics. The video displayed may not look exactly like your car, but may be relevant enough for you to get a good idea how to do it.

Procedure notes
This video demonstrates how to change a burnt out taillight bulb on your 1997 Lincoln Town Car. Tail lights are also called rear position lights or running lights. Some of the other bulbs in the tail light cluster such as the brake light or turn signal may also function as the tail light in your Town Car. It is possible for the turn signal or brake light to work but the tailight part to be burnt out - replacing the bulb on your Town Car will restore functionality to both. Since the tailights are on whenever your parking lights or headlights are on, they will burn out eventually. Burn out tail lights are a common reason for a police officer to pull you over, so we recommend changing all of the tail lights on your Town Car whenever one is burnt out.
When changing the tailight bulb on your Town Car, be careful not to touch the glass part of the new bulb as this will cause the tailight bulb to burn out quicker.
